Hello Scholars and Families,
I am Rhonda Eaton, and I have the privilege of teaching. I have enjoyed 8 years teaching middle school ELA at SJP to grades 5-8. Writing is my habit of choice, so teaching others to love what I love is paying it forward!

My love for writing and literature drives me in all areas of education. My undergraduate degree in English, with a concentration in writing, was earned through Bridgewater State University. I earned my MFA in Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to my work with scholars in Dorchester, I worked in Avon Public Schools. While there, I trained as a trainer through the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center in anti-bullying techniques and recognizing signs of cyberbullying. I have been honored with an Enterprise Teacher of the Year, Principal's Award for Dedication To Literacy, and 2017 Yawkey Award. I love teaching middle school!!

I conduct Authors' Cafe 2-3 times annually; this is modeled after an invitation-only event at Bridgewater State University, in which our talented scholar-authors will share their works in the evening before standing-room-only audiences. I love to incorporate writing in all content areas. The stronger our young people are in varied areas of communication, the more successful they will become. I believe writing builds confidence in communication! Mad Lib, anyone?

I have been married to my prom date for 36 years, and we have two daughters, an amazing son-law, and a 6 year old grandson. We also have 2 fur babies: Golden Retrievers named Abby and Melody. We love to vacation in North Conway, New Hampshire.
